30 & 15 Year Mortgage Rates Increase for Fourth Consecutive Week

Freddie Mac released the weekly Primary Mortgage Market Survey results today, August 23, 2012.  This is the fourth consecutvie week that the fixed rate averages have moved higher.  The increase has been gradual, and the 30-year fixed rate mortgage average (3.66%) has remained under 4.0% since March 22 of this year.  The 15-year fixed rate remains under 3.0% for the thirteenth consecutive week, at only 2.89%.
