Jamie Fitzgerald joins the Tidewater Home Funding, LLC team as a loan officer assistant. Fitzgerald will work with a team of senior mortgage consultants including Janet Moore, Jennifer Keenan and Michelle Phillips. She is a graduate of Old Dominion University, with a major in Communications and a minor in Psychology. A native of Hampton Roads, Fitzgerald has extensive customer service and administrative experience in the banking and insurance industries, having worked with a local community bank and local insurance agency for several years. She is located at the corporate office, in the Greenbrier area of Chesapeake, serving customers from throughout South Hampton Roads and Northeast North Carolina.
Todd Garrett joins the Tidewater Home Funding production team as a Business Development Executive. Garrett recently retired at the rank of Lieutenant Colonel from the US Air Force where he held many leadership and management roles throughout his distinguished career. Most recently, Todd was the Faculty and Seminar Team Lead for the Joint Forces Staff College in Norfolk. Todd is a native of Pennsylvania but calls Hampton Roads home since his wife and two children have settled in and have come to love our community. Garrett holds a bachelors in Electrical Engineering from Wilkes University, a Masters in Business Administration from Touro University International, and a Masters of Space Systems from the Air Force Institute of Technology. Under the direction of Jeremy Krupnick, Todd will train to be a licensed Mortgage Loan Officer at the corporate offices in Chesapeake.
Jeremy Walters joins Tidewater Home Funding as Assistant Vice President for Secondary Marketing. A native of Virginia Beach, Walters graduated from the University of Virginia with a Bachelors degree in Psychology and received his MBA from Old Dominion University. Walters has extensive experience within the banking and financial services industry having served as a Portfolio Risk Officer and Investment Analyst for BB&T. Walters also brings experience in the mortgage industry where he held positions as Senior Account Executive, Wholesale Mortgage Underwriter and Credit Analyst. An active member of the Hampton Roads business community, Walters will be located at the Tidewater Home Funding corporate office in the Greenbrier area of Chesapeake.
Will Beasley joins the Tidewater Home Funding - Laskin office production team as a Business Development Executive. Under Frank Malbon’s leadership, Beasley will train to become a licensed Mortgage Loan Officer. Beasley received his Bachelor’s degree from Hampden-Sydney College. He has worked in sales positions within the golf and financial services industries. More recently, Beasley held the position of Construction Quality Control Manager with S.B. Ballard Construction Company and recently was responsible for the management and oversight of a $12 million commercial construction project. Will is a lifelong native of Virginia Beach and involved in the local community, including the Virginia Aquarium’s “Aquarium Connection”.
Debi Bloom has been promoted to Vice President Secondary Marketing at Tidewater Home Funding. Bloom has 28 years of mortgage industry experience, specializing in pipeline management, secondary marketing and investor relations. NMLS licensed in Virginia and a native of Newport News, Bloom works at the Thimble Shoals office within the Oyster Point area of Newport News.
Matt Marshall joins the production team at Tidewater Home Funding, LLC as a licensed mortgage professional. Marshall, an honor graduate at Old Dominion University, holds a bachelor’s of arts degree in history and a minor in business management. A native of Hampton Roads, Marshall has been working with the Hampton Roads business community since 2005. Tidewater Home Funding, LLC announces the opening of a new office at 1369 Laskin Road in Virginia Beach. This is the company’s fifth office in Hampton Roads, with additional locations in Chesapeake, Newport News and Virginia Beach.
The Laskin office will be managed by H. Frank Malbon, Senior Vice President of Residential Lending. Malbon is an industry veteran with over 24 years of mortgage lending experience in the Hampton Roads community. Malbon has formerly served as President of the local and state mortgage banking associations.
Tammy Dail joins the production team at Tidewater Home Funding, LLC as a licensed mortgage loan consultant. A native of the Pungo area of Virginia Beach, Dail graduated from Old Dominion University with a B.A. in History and M.S. in Education. Dail is a lifelong member of Charity United Methodist Church, a charter board member of the Pungo Village Landowners’ Association, serves on the Cape Henry Collegiate Alumni Board and volunteers for the Pungo Strawberry Festival and Neptune Festival. Dail has over 10 years experience in mortgage lending and real estate law, and will be working at the Laskin office in Virginia Beach.

A native of the Shenandoah Valley in northwestern Virginia, she currently resides in Hampton and will be working in the Newport News office. She has a master’s degree from Old Dominion University. Jessica Payne has joined the Tidewater Home Funding, LLC operations team as a processor. Payne has extensive experience in the mortgage and title industry. She most recently worked at Samuel I White, P.C. as a foreclosure pre-sale processing team leader, and previously worked in the mortgage industry as a senior loan processor for Mortgage First and Hometown Mortgage. A native of the Hampton Roads community, Payne is located at the corporate office, in the Greenbrier area of Chesapeake.
Sherry Kuntz has been promoted to the post closing department at Tidewater Home Funding. Previously the office administrator, Kuntz handles post closing and shipping duties. Kuntz is a native of the Hampton Roads community and has over 20 years of experience as an administrative assistant. Sherry has worked with companies within commercial and residential property management, land development and general contracting. Frank Malbon has joined Tidewater Home Funding as Senior Vice President of Residential Lending. Malbon provides mortgage lending services to his customers and works with Tidewater Home Funding’s executive leadership to grow business in Virginia Beach and the Hampton Roads community. Malbon is currently located in the Chesapeake corporate office, and will work to establish an additional Virginia Beach branch to compliment those on Great Neck Road and General Booth Blvd.
A graduate of Hampden-Sydney College with a bachelor’s degree in government and foreign affairs, Malbon has been a top producer throughout his tenure in the home loan industry. His senior leadership experience in mortgage banking includes branch manager and assistant vice president positions, as well as serving as President of a local joint venture mortgage firm, all located in Hampton Roads.
Malbon, a Virginia Beach native, is a current Board Member of the Virginia Beach Education Foundation and VBEF Chairperson for the annual Pearls of Wisdom Party. Malbon is a founding member, past President and current Board Member of the Old Coast Guard Museum. Malbon is a current member and past President of the Youth Services Club. Malbon has been past President of both the Tidewater Mortgage Bankers Association and Virginia Mortgage Lenders Association. Malbon’s community involvement also includes church, sports and other philanthropic efforts serving all of Hampton Roads.

Curtis has thirty years of mortgage and management experience including being a founding partner, Executive Vice President and COO of Virginia Beach based Southern Trust Mortgage. She helped grow the business to one of the mid-Atlantic’s largest multistate mortgage bankers.
A graduate of Old Dominion University, Curtis is a great supporter and member of her community. Curtis currently sits on the ODU Educational Foundation Board’s Executive Committee, ODU CREED, the YWCA of South Hampton Roads Finance Committee, and Marion Manor Board of Directors where she serves as treasurer. Curtis has also served as President of Tidewater Mortgage Bankers Association in 1988 and has served in numerous leadership roles within the mortgage industry throughout her career.
Melissa Biers has been promoted to Sales & Production, working with Senior Mortgage Consultant Jeremy Krupnick at Tidewater Home Funding, LLC. Biers will assist with growing and expanding business throughout the Hampton Roads community. Previously the branch administrator, Melissa has an extensive background in sales, public relations and customer service. Sherry has worked with companies within commercial and residential property management, land development and general contracting. George E. Moore has joined Tidewater Home Funding as Senior Vice President. Mr. Moore will assist with the management and operational duties of investor relations, recruiting, community outreach, business development, and assisting the secondary marketing team. George is located in the Greenbrier office of Chesapeake, and will work closely with the additional office locations in Newport News, Virginia Beach and Williamsburg.
George Moore was previously the owner and President of Enterprise Mortgage Corporation, a very successful mortgage business started in Virginia Beach in 1989. Moore started the business with wife, Janet, and business partner, Mary Leeds. All three professionals are now part of the Tidewater Home Funding team.
Moore has a Bachelor of Science degree in political science from the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill, and brings over 40 years of mortgage banking experience to his current position. Previous industry positions include past president of Virginia Mortgage Bankers Association and the Tidewater Mortgage Bankers Association. George was also an active member of the Tidewater Builders Association and Tidewater Association of Realtors.
Mr. Moore’s community involvement includes a board position with the Judeo Christian Outreach Center, and a member of Foundry United Methodist Church in Virginia Beach.
Christie Woytowitz joins Tidewater Home Funding, LLC as 203K Division Manager and Senior Loan Officer. Woytowitz is located at the corporate office in the Greenbrier area of Chesapeake. Christie’s responsibilities include providing vision, focus, education and production of FHA 203K Renovation loans for all offices in the state of Virginia. This program has served as an excellent tool in providing revitalization to communities and neighborhoods and for expanding homeownership opportunities. Christie’s work with Tidewater Home Funding builds upon over two decades of mortgage banking experience.
Christie resides in Virginia Beach, and is active with Cape Henry Rotary Club, First Colonial High School PTSA Board and is President of the First Colonial High School Boys Lacrosse Club.
