A Message from President and CEO, Kim Curtis

To our dedicated team members, valued customers, and business partners,

2020 marks our 20th year in business. This is a milestone for which we are most proud, and we could not have achieved this milestone without your support. Our plans to commemorate and celebrate this important benchmark are temporarily on-hold due to the crisis our fellow American neighbors and our friends around the globe continue to experience.

The year 2020 will forever be imprinted on our lives, the lives of our children, and future generations. A global pandemic leading to a financial crisis presents overwhelming challenges to all of us. The recent and senseless actions directed towards people of color, on American soil, ignites further racial divisiveness that is even more destructive to the fabric of our nation. For the families that have lost their loved ones, we grieve alongside with you. As we progress through these difficult times, we wish to come together and work towards peace, unity and equality as one.

Our family of lenders is, and always has been, committed to inclusiveness and achieving equality across all aspects of our business and in our personal lives. We believe in a community that represents a diverse group of people who genuinely care for one another and share a common desire to stand up for what’s right. As the leader for Tidewater Home Funding, LLC, Farmers Bank Home Mortgage, and Benchmark Mortgage Companies, I pledge to you our commitment towards continuing to foster and promote inclusiveness at every level, and to denounce prejudice and racism at all times.

As we look ahead towards the future, our team will continue to help our underserved communities during their journey towards homeownership. We seek to be their local, trusted resource and will have a heightened focus towards providing free financial preparedness and homeownership educational resources. For those taking a stand for what’s right, we thank you. For our neighbors struggling during this time of divisiveness, please know we stand alongside you in solidarity.

Kim Curtis, President and CEO
